Apple’s Media Event to be Held On March 21st

Re/code reports that the rumored March 15th media event from Apple will now reportedly take place in the week beginning March 21st. The publication’s sources cannot confirm if the event has been postponed by Apple or that the week beginning March 21st was the original intended schedule from Apple.

Or to put it another way, it’s not going to be on March 15, the time frame that other outlets previously reported, according to several sources. It is not clear if the event was moved or if this was the same timing as Apple had always planned.

In a separate report, BuzzFeed reporter John Paczkowski has also received information from his sources, who reveal that the event will be smaller than Apple’s last event where it had unveiled the iPhone 6s. This presumably means that the event will be held at Apple’s Town Hall in Cupertino, where the company usually holds most of its events. His sources also claim that the event will take place on March 21st itself — just a day before Apple is set to fight the FBI in court.

Besides the 4-inch iPhone SE, Apple is also expected to introduce a new 9.7″ iPad (possibly dubbed as the iPad Pro), and new Apple Watch bands.
