Apple on Wednesday sent out media invites for a Mac-centric event that will be held on Thursday, October 27 at 10:00 a.m. The invite points to Cupertino being the host for new product unveilings, and there’s a gigantic Apple logo, hovering over “hello again.” As for what’s new, there is still plenty of speculation regarding that.
The October event is expected to focus on the introduction of new Macs, headlined by a much-rumored and highly anticipated revamped MacBook Pro. According to rumors, the new MacBook Pro will feature the first redesign to the machine since 2012.
To start, that includes new Macs. There are new MacBook Pros on deck, and the majority of rumors suggest the new laptops will be thinner, lighter, and feature an OLED touch bar above the keyboard. Earlier reports have also suggested there will be a refreshed lineup of 13-inch MacBook Airs released, and that it’s possible the 11-inch MacBook Air could be discontinued.
It’s not likely that the Mac Pro will get refreshed, nor the Mac Minis. There could be some new iMac desktop units unveiled, though.
