Developer Abraham Masri has successfully been able to run his Houdini semi-jailbreak on iOS 11.4 beta, which suggest that his iOS hacking tool can get support for the upcoming operating system once it is released for public.
If you are not familiar with the Houdini Semi-Jailbreak, it is essentially a hacking tool that allows users to apply basic customizations on their iPhone or iPad. This tool does not fully jailbreak an iOS device, however users can still use it to apply themes and other customizations on their devices. Houdini is not like semi-untethered jailbreak tools such as Electra and does not install Cydia on the devices that are running it. It does offer its own interface where users can apply different themes and utilities from.
Some of the things you can do with Houdini include ability to change the appearance of the lockscreen, passcode screen, homescreen, change device’s screen resolution, reorder toggles on the Control Center and much more.
Masri has recently shared a video that clearly shows Houdini beta 3 semi-jailbreak running on an iPad. This iPad is powered by iOS 11.4 beta. The video that you can watch for yourself below also shows the developer successfully applying customizations on the device.
Masri has not shared any plans or eta for the release of this tool. However it will surely depend on the fact that his tool still works on iOS 11.4 once the final version of the operating system is released for public. If you are interested in trying out Houdini tool on your iPhone or iPad, then you can download it for iOS 10 and iOS 11 from developer’s website here.
