Apple has just released the second betas of iOS 11.4.1, macOS 10.13.6 and tvOS 11.4.1 to registered developers.
Apple has also seeded the next update for its desktop operating system, macOS High Sierra. The company has officially seeded macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 beta 2 to developers. To update to macOS High Sierra 10.13.6, the proper configuration profiles must be installed. Once they are, the new software can be downloaded and installed from the Mac App Store by selecting the Updates tab and choosing to install the new software.
The company has also seeded the second developer beta for tvOS 11.4.1. To update supported Apple TV set-top boxes to tvOS 11.4.1, developers must have the proper configuration profile installed, and the Apple TV set-top box must be connected to a computer so the pre-release software can be setup via Xcode. If the developer already has a registered fourth- or fifth-generation Apple TV, they can also turn on automatic updates, which will pull down the latest beta seed as well.
In each of these cases, the software is a minor update in the grand scheme of things, not adding any major forward-facing features to the end user. Instead, these updates aim to fix behind-the-scenes issues, enhance performance, and squash bugs.
To update to iOS 11.4.1, you must be a registered developer. If you have the proper configuration profiles installed on your test devices, the software can be downloaded and installed as an over-the-air update by navigating to Settings –> General –> Software Update and then following the onscreen instructions.
