How to Jailbreak iOS 11.3.1–iOS 11.2 Using Electra Tool

The Electra Team delivered on their promise to release an iOS 11.2-11.3.1 jailbreak on Friday, As Electra1131 comes with Cydia, you will be able to take advantage of your device’s jailbreak and install your favorite iOS 11 compatible Cydia tweaks right away.

In this step by step tutorial we will show you how you can download the jailbreak tool and use it to finally jailbreak your iOS 11.3.1 powered iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Follow the steps below and by the end of this iOS 11.3.1 jailbreak guide you will have a more powerful iOS device.

Step 1: First of all make sure you are running a compatible iOS version by going to Settings > General > About > Version. If your version is iOS 11.2 – iOS 11.3.1, then you are good.

Step 2: Download Electra jailbreak tool from the links below. Do note that there are two different versions of Electra tool. While both give the same result for the user, one requires a paid Apple developer account and one doesn’t. Choose the right tool carefully.

Step 3: Download Cydia Impactor tool from its official website here.

Step 4: Connect your iPhone to your computer and launch Cydia Impactor tool.

Step 5: Once your iOS device is detected by Cydia Impactor drag and drop Electra1131 IPA file you downloaded in step 2 on it.

Step 6: Cydia Impactor will ask you to enter your Apple ID details. Enter your Apple ID username and password. If you downloaded the developer account version of Electra1131, make sure the Apple account you are entering has an active developer account.

Step 7: Let Cydia Impactor complete the jailbreak process. Once the process is complete you should see the Electra Jailbreak app on your device’s homescreen.

Before launching Electra app do the following:

  • Disable Siri.
  • Put your iOS device into Airplane mode.
  • Reboot it manually.

Step 8: You won’t be able to launch Electra app just yet. Open Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management and tap on the profile associated with Electra IPA. Tap on trust, and confirm. (If you have jailbroken your device with an earlier version of Electra before, then you might not need to perform this step again).

Step 9: Go back to the homescreen and launch the Electra app. Tap on the Jailbreak button. Your iOS device will respring/reboot a number of times, this is normal behaviour.

Step 10: After the device has successfully been jailbroken you will receive a notification saying so. At this point you can launch Cydia and enjoy the forbidden fruits of jailbreak.

Hopefully you were able to successfully jailbreak your device. If you have any questions, then do let us know in the comments section below.

Note: If you don’t see Cydia after jailbreaking with Electra1131, then re-launch the Electra jailbreak app and keep trying until it does (it took me 3 tries).
