Apple has just seeded the second beta of tvOS 9.2.1 to developers for testing purposes, the operating system designed to run on the fourth-generation Apple TV. This release arrives two weeks after the company officially seeded the first beta to developers. The new software is smaller in scale than the previous release, focused on behind-the-scenes tweaks and improvements.
As a minor 9.x.x update, tvOS 9.2.1 beta 2 likely focuses on bug fixes and performance updates to address issues discovered since the release of tvOS 9.2. Any new changes found in the tvOS 9.2.1 update will be listed below.
To install the new beta on the fourth-gen Apple TV, you’ll need to connect the set-top box to a computer via a USB-C to USB-A cable. Once that is done, download the beta software and install it on the Apple TV through iTunes or Apple Configurator.
