Following the seed of iOS 9.3.3 to developers, Apple has also seeded the second developer beta for tvOS 9.2.2 and the first developer beta of watchOS 2.2.2.
The software version numbers are watchOS 2.2.2 and tvOS 9.2.2 from what we saw in the first betas, they’re not adding any significant new features.
For developers that want to install the new tvOS 9.2.2 beta, the fourth-generation Apple TV must be plugged into a computer with a USB-C to USB-A cable. Once the set-top box is connected to the computer, the beta software must be downloaded from iTunes and installed on the device directly.
To install the first developer beta of watchOS 2.2.2, the Apple Watch’s battery must be at least 50 percent, and also charging. The Watch must also be in range of the iPhone. The software can be downloaded through the dedicated Apple Watch app available on the iPhone.
As it stands right now, each of the new beta seeds are meant to bring new improvements to performance, and fix other behind-the-scenes issues.
