Apple on Monday released iOS 10.2.1 to the public following several weeks of testing. iOS 10.2.1 also comes more than a month after the release of iOS 10.2, the second major update to the iOS 10 operating system.
This new software is meant to address any lingering software issues and bugs, as well as boost performance. According to Apple’s own release notes for iOS 10.2.1, the update brings unspecified bug fixes and security improvements.
To install the new software, iPad, iPod touch, and iPhone owners can head into Settings –> General –> Software Update and then follow the on-screen instructions.
Do note that if you are waiting for the upcoming iOS 10.2 jailbreak, you should not upgrade to iOS 10.2.1 and save the blobs as well.
