Apple today officially seeded the first betas of iOS 12.2, watchOS 5.2, macOS Mojave 10.14.4 and tvOS 12.2 to public beta testers. At the time of publication it is not known what is new within the software. However, unlike the previous updates that use minor changes to the version number, the change to “.2” may indicate that Apple is ready to add new forward facing features for the end user this time around. If we discover any new features added, we will update this post accordingly.
To update to iOS 12.2, developers will need to make sure that their supported iOS devices are registered properly. Once that’s done, it’s as simple as opening Settings –> General –> Software Update and then following the onscreen instructions.
to update to watchOS 5.2, developers need to make sure that the Apple Watch is connected to the charger, that the battery has at least 50 percent remaining, and that it is connected and within range of the iPhone. On the iOS device, open the Watch app and tap on Genera –> Software Update.
To update to the latest beta version of tvOS, developers need to run the necessary Xcode profile.
To update to the latest beta version of macOS 10.14.4, developers need to go into System Preferences –> Software Update and follow the onscreen instructions.
Nevertheless, we are installing today’s public betas and will be sure to report back if we find anything of note. And as always, if you spot something significant we’ve missed, tell us about it down in the comments section below!
